Backstory

I am muggle-born. The magical blood that runs through my veins can be traced back to the ancient and magical settlers in the Philippines called 'babaylan' (often characterized as an animist priestess, a seer, and a healer). People who practice magic in my country are predominantly discreet and are often subjected to ostracism. There is an infamous branding of witches/wizards here called 'mangkukulam' or 'mangbabarang'. The terms are usually attributed to malevolent curses and evil inclinations.
I originally studied in Mahoutokoro, the ancient and grandiose wizarding school in Japan. I qualified in a very competitive exchange student program that promotes cultural exchange and magical cooperation between Hogwarts and Mahoutokoro. My insatiable desire for knowledge and innovation (that resulted in consistent golden robes during my stay in Mahoutokoro) enabled me to crush all competition and to emerge as the sole representative from my school.
I like to believe that I will enjoy myself in Ravenclaw house.
