Background

Anaerin grew up in wales near a forest full of magical creatures, he would spend his days exploring and his nights looking up at the stars. Ofcourse this wasn't always the safest, and he is constantly covered in cuts and bruises from his adventures. On days he couldn't do this he would help his father in his potions shop or his mother growing ingredients. As the oldest child it is expected that Aneirin will take over the shop, though his interests lay elsewhere. There is a two year gap between him and his sister Bronwen, and four years between him and his younger brother Elis.

First Year

Autumn 1

Week 1

When Anaerin first stepped into the great hall, he was certain of three things. First that he would be either a Ravenclaw or a Hufflepuff, next that he was incredibly excited to start lessons, and finally that he could not wait to meet everyone. He immediately made friends with Mollie Webster and Dennis Barlow, two more first years. Though he had a rather unfortunate run in with Nicolas and Leonie Comete, two first years he already new well. There parents were friends but the twins always teased Anaerin. They seemed to be forming a group of friends as well. Maybe Anaerin could wait to meet them. The 11 year old suddenly became very aware of the professors watching them, he suddenly felt nervous. What if he was rubbish? What if he couldn't do magic right? What if... the boy really didn't feel like classes anymore. Finally sorting time "Barlow, Denis"..."Hufflepuff!" he was glad. Atleast he new he would have a friend if he joined Hufflepuff. The twins were put in Slytherin which made sense to him, he would call them snakes but Anaerin quite liked snakes. "Rivers, Anaerin" he stepped up breathing deeply as the hat was placed on his head "Slytherin!" The elevin year old was stunned, he hadn't expected this at all. Still he went a sat with his house, trying to figure out if it was a mistake. "Webster, Mollie.." "Ravenclaw!" Well..now he wasn't certain of anything.
