Hey you! Yes, you. I'm talking to you. Hi! I'm Ivy, by the way—Ivy Snape. Yep, you heard that right. I'm Professor Snape's daughter. What? You don't believe me? Well, I don’t blame you. Everyone seems to think I just got his hair, haha! Oh, and I’m in Slytherin, just like him. I thought I was going to be sorted into Ravenclaw like my mum, but I guess I value ambition and resourcefulness more. Proud Slytherin, right? But my dad always told me to focus on my studies rather than get caught up in which house I'm sorted into.

I truly enjoy my time here at Hogwarts with my friends; it feels like a second—no, a third—home to me, haha! I really look forward to my DADA classes, along with Potions, Charms, History of Magic, Astronomy, Care of Magical Creatures, and Divination. Those are definitely my favorite subjects.

What about you? What are your favorite spells to cast? Personally, I love using the Disarming Charm and the Patronus Charm. My wand is made of ebony, with a core from a phoenix. Speaking of the Patronus charm, my patronus is a Manx cat! I was so thrilled when I found out. If you didn't know, I'm a huge cat person—I could worship them, really. I have a magpie cat and a white ball python, and I love them both to death.

In my free time, I like to play music with my guitar and sing, or write songs. I also enjoy reading, writing stories or poems, painting, sketching, scrapbooking, and just jotting down my thoughts in journals. Learning about anything to feed my endless curiosity is a big part of my life. Oh! And don’t tell my dad about this, but a few friends and I have started looking into mysteries around Hogwarts. You know these halls are filled with countless mysteries and histories. You could say we’re like... "unofficial detectives," hehe.

Do you like listening to music? I mean, who doesn't? I can't imagine living as someone who doesn't enjoy it. I'm into a lot of genres, but I particularly love rock and alternative music. I also like exploring music from the 40s to the 70s—I like listening to Fleetwood Mac and Queen. And don’t get me started on Lana Del Rey and Taylor Swift! I've been a fan of Taylor and Lana for years. Now, before you say anything, just don’t judge people for their tastes; 'cause that’s just not very nice, is it?

By the way, I love dressing up! I usually lean towards grunge and punk styles—combat boots are a must! They make me feel like I can kick ass. And I definitely can. But it really depends on my mood; sometimes I prefer something softer and girly, and other times I want to don vintage outfits inspired by Audrey Hepburn. I know, I'm such a walking contradiction. My moon in Gemini probably has something to do with that!

Oof, I think that’s Draco calling for me. Huh? What? No, you’ve got it all wrong! We’re not dating at all; are you joking? Where did you get that information, darling? Seriously, Draco’s more like... I don’t know, a pesky cousin or brother to me. We’re friends, along with Blaise, Vincent, Gregory, and Pansy. I’m also friends with Harry, Ron, Hermione, Luna, and just... basically everyone, I guess...? I have my close friends—you probably haven’t heard of them, though.

Oh, but aside from my endless chatter, you might want to prepare yourself for being dragged into some of my antics—only sometimes, though! It’s not like I do it all the time, I swear! Oh, and hide your sweets—ice cream, chocolates, and cakes, if you have them... unless you want me to gobble them all up. Just kidding! Maybe not...

Otherwise, hi! Here in HiH, I like to follow my character's age along with the school year I'm currently studying. And as you can see, if you've read my bio, I've decided to write it as Ivy who's already 15 years old. Oh, and if you're wondering why I was suddenly talking about Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey when the canon years takes place around the 90s, when it comes to my OC, she actually lives in an AU where she, Harry, and the other students their age are born in the early 2000s. (I don't think I could live without the internet, so excuse me.) Side note: I'm a shifter, hehe. So that's my Hogwarts DR.

But anyway, I've watched a few Harry Potter films when I was a child, but haven't got really into it until I was 18/19 years old. Since then, Hogwarts has a special place in my heart along with other few fantasy worlds that I grew up with. As you can see from my bio above (I assume you've read it), most of the things about me is true, the creative endeavors, hobbies, interests, but golly, what I'd give to have a white ball python. And heads up, I don't live in the UK, only my character does! Also, I practice witchcraft in real life, just so you know, it's not really exciting as the witchcraft we read and see in the Wizarding World, unfortunately.
