Backstory

Name: Callista Davenport

Physical Features:  Freckled, long wavy red hair, dual colored eyes (one green/one blue), 5'8, snake tattoo on back (moves around body like a photo, in memory of a deceased pet)

House: Hufflepuff

Wand: Dogwood, Unicorn Core, 12 and 1/4 inches, surprisingly swishy flexible.

Patronus: Red-Tailed Fox

Animagus Transformation:  Barn Owl (regular barn with blue highlighted feathers.  Very much like my human form, transformation has two different colored eyes, one green/one amber. I was unable to fully disguise my eye color.)

I am a pureblood witch in a relatively wealthy family whom, I'm sometimes embarrassed to admit, is entirely Slytherin alumni.  I don't say this out of resentment, because I do love my family, however I seem to have become the black sheep of the family.  

My parents, though they love me, are disappointed at my apppointment to Hufflepuff.  I have very different values and run in very different social circles.  I always feel I must work twice as hard to live up to their very exhausting expectations.  Money and status don't mean to me what it does to them, yet when I'm in a pickle, they are right there to support me.  

I have a large family.  I am one of five children.  I have three older brothers, and an older sister.  My two eldest brothers, Ackley and Sebastian are a force of nature.  They pick on me the most, and remind me of my place, but it seems only they are allowed to push me around.  My elder twin siblings, Evallyn and Kolin mostly pretend I don't exist. You can imagine the family dynamic at home.  

I'm not a complete failure in their eyes, just misguided.  I have a few things in common with my family, as I'm very determined and persistent.  I have strong beliefs, though they differ from most of my family, and I stand up for those beliefs.  I have a thirst for knowledge and a desire to prove myself to them and the world.  I have high expectations of myself and others, and a will hard as steel.  As a family, we enjoy music, theater, horseback riding and art together.  

Much to their dismay, I differ in many ways as well.  I'm extremely imaginative and I use that to write quite often, but I also enjoy reading, as I'm eager to learn new things.  I enjoy more causal activities such as swimming and playing games.  I'm a big foodie and can't wait to see what the feasts are like here at Hogwarts, especially during some of the holidays.  Might have to stick around instead of head home a year or two just to find out. (It has nothing to do with the awkwardness that arises during those times at all)

I'm really looking forward to all my classes, but herbology and potions in particular.  At least in these two subjects, I feel a bit more confident in my ability than the others, not that I'm not magically inclined, but because it flows with my aspiration in life to be a medi-witch and work at St. Mungo's Hospital.  I look forward to meeting new friends and learning everything there is to learn.
