Hellouette Van Dyke

Backstory

Hellouette Van Dyke was born and raised in Vaughan, Canada by her Muggle parents — Feyra and Somir Van Dyke. She lived a comfortable life thanks to her parents’ jewelry business called ‘ Sora’. However despite their financial privilege, Hellouette did not grow up to be spoiled, instead, she was taught about the value of money and how it should be spent wisely and not lavishly.

Growing up, nothing was out of the ordinary and the couple did not suspect anything magical about their child. Not until one day, during the holidays, young Hellouette at the age of 6 unknowingly turned their garden grass into red azaleas after letting out a sneeze. Feyra and Somir had knowledge about Witches and Wizards due to one of Somir’s sisters being a Witch, however, the revelation still caught them by surprise except for Sere Montalli  — the sister in question and Hellouette’s widowed aunt. 

According to Sere, she knew Hellouette would possess magical abilities the moment she held the baby in her arms. She kept the hunch to herself since after all, she wasn’t certain. But she was right! Hellouette is indeed a witch. Sere began to jump in joy and excitement upon knowing her niece does actually have magic within her and offered the couple to teach Hellouette all she needs to know about magic, and how to control it. Feyra and Somir agreed with no hesitation and trusted Sere that their daughter would be in good hands.

Since then, Hellouette gained knowledge and improved her abilities thanks to her aunt’s patience and efforts for her.

On the morning of July 21st — Hellouette’s 12th birthday — she received an acceptance letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, marking the start of her journey.
