Backstory

Coming from a long line of Gryffindors, I was pretty nervous when I was sorted into Slytherin - after all, I'd just been placed in my parents' rival house, and I'd heard all kinds of terrible things about Slytherins. But the Sorting Hat assured me that it was the right place, and I haven't looked back since. I love my house - we're smart like the Ravenclaws, loyal (to those we love, at least) like the Hufflepuffs, and brave like the Gryffindors (just not stupid about it. The only difference between us and them is that we like to play to the beat of our own drum, and I guess they just don't know how to deal with that.

I come from a Pureblood family, but I try my hardest not to look down on Muggles like a lot of other Slytherins do. It was difficult for me at first, but then a Ravenclaw friend persuaded me to take a Muggle Studies class and I was fascinated. We tend to look down on them, but they've made some amazing advances of their own. Part of me is curious about what would happen if we united the Muggle and wizarding worlds.

Aside from Muggle Studies, I absolutely loved Defence Against the Dark Arts and Care of Magical Creatures. I did well in History of Magic, I guess, but it always just struck me as so very boring. Potions and Charms are my worst subjects - I don't really have the finesse required for either of them.

After Hogwarts, I think that I'd like to become a journalist. Traveling the world, learning about as much as I can - it sounds absolutely fascinating. I'm also looking into doing a year of study abroad at Ilvermorny - wanderlust runs in my family's blood!
