Backstory
๐๐ท๐๐๐ ๐๐
During one of the hottest summers on record, the eldest of four children was born to the long and ancient Blackthorn family line. I would earn my name from the famous Shakespear play "Hamlet", the woman who was driven mad by her lover's murder and would die a tragic death. I always wondered why my parents choose that name in particular for me, given that its quite morbid. When asked, they would always reply with "Its a beautiful name, dark background or not."
I received my Hogwarts letter on the first day that I had moved into a house on the outskirts of London with my family. Before that, I had lived in America, and had been planning to go to Illvermorny, just like every other Blackthorn had ever since they arrived there with the pilgrims. My father was a graduate from Thunderbird and my mother was a graduate of Horned Serpent, both highly respected in the world of potioneering.
As of September 21st, I was sorted into Gryffindor, which I hope was a good thing. I am still not very familiar with the way things work here, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it soon. I'll do my best to go down in history by being the first. The first Blackthorn to attend Hogwarts. The first Blackthorn to be placed in Gryffindor. The first Blackthorn to become an Auror. The first Ophelia Blackthorn.
