Backstory
My name is Sian Balcombe. I first found out I was a half-blood four years ago when my older brother, Caleb, received his hogwarts letter. We didn't know anything of magic before then. Our mum is a muggle and we were raised as such. We didn't know our father, but mum said his name was Jeremy. He and my mother had a relationship for 6 years but he was away often. She later found out that he was married and left. Apparently he was also a wizard.
When my brother went to Hogwarts, he was sorted into Gryffindor. Whenever he came home for the holidays, he would tell me things about Hogwarts and the magical world. I especially liked when he would tell me about potions.
When I received my letter, I was very excited. I just started my first year and I was sorted into Ravenclaw, although the hat did mention Hufflepuff quite a bit. I am very excited for potions class and I hope I make many happy memories.
