Backstory
I'm from a muggle family of health care providers and (when I first got to Hogwarts), I thought for sure that the Sorting Hat was going to put me in Ravenclaw. Tp my great surprise I somehow ended up in Slytherin! This didn't bother me at all, however, as I'm fiercely independent and possess fiery disposition. Despite my rough exterior, I am loyal to the core when it comes to my best friend Olivia Brownbeetle, a Hufflepuff. I can't stand pettiness or bullies, which means I was never a very popular member of Slytherin house, but that was fine with me.When I wasn't in the Hogwarts library or watching a quidditch game, I spent a great deal of my time in the infirmary with Madame Pomfrey. While the other students were snogging in broom closets or taking weekend jaunts to Hogsmeade I was reading every book on magical healing I could get my hands on and watching in amazement as student after student came into the infirmary on a stretcher and left perfectly well. After my fifth year, Madame Pomfrey even let me become her paid assistant. It was then that I met my current boyfriend, a Gryffindor named Jake Harrison. A fellow muggleborn and an incredibly talented musician, Jake ended up at the infirmary one day after he accidentally splinched himself while learning to apparate. (Madame Pomfrey and I cared for him round the clock and we started dating soon after!)
Now that I've graduated from Hogwarts, I attend St. Mungo's School for Magical Healing and Research where I am currently learning to treat all sorts of magical ailments, from particularly nasty hexes to poisonous rashes and even dragon's-fire burns. My dream is to someday work at St. Mungo's Hospital on the sixteenth floor, where patients are treated for magical creature - related accidents.
Olivia and I share a flat in London now and we have a pet owl named Archimedes. Since she's a pureblood I've had the opportunity to introduce her to some of the best parts of Muggle culture, including Netflix and Starbucks. She's had a blast time incorporating some of the Disney stories I've told her into the curriculum at the magical elementary school where she teaches. Graduate school keeps me very busy but I always make time for Jake, who is currently first violin at the London Philharmonic Magical Orchestra. It's a good life and I couldn't imagine it any other way!!
