Evie Ellwood

Backstory

As a child, Evie was always told by adults that she was 'nice' and very intelligent, and so she always felt a certain amount of pressure to live up to these standards. So when her letter arrived she felt like she was letting her family down by not pursuing her academics. In a way, her muggle parents did feel confused and slightly let down by this twist of fate, but her older brother, Evan, couldn't have been prouder of his little sister. Eventually, her parents realised their daughter's potential, and they too were incredibly proud. 
Evie had a passion for food and cooking, and was at first a little disappointed to be missing out on her muggle food classes. However, she soon started sneaking down to the kitchens to watch the house elves cook with magic, and was immediately enthralled. She loved to learn new recipes to take home to her family, and often they gave her snacks to take back to her dorm. 
Evie was the only muggle-born in her group of friends, and she loved sharing her culture with them, especially music. 
She still has a very close bond with her brother (who is eleven years older than her) and writes to him as often as twice a week. 
Overall, even though she missed a lot about her muggle life, Evie was thrilled to be a part of the magical world, and never took her blessings for granted (even the magical homework!)
