Backstory

When I first received my letter, my whole family and I were so confused. None of them has any idea about the magic world at all. Both of my parents are muggles and their parents are muggles too. Only to find out that my great-great-grandmother was a witch. I never heard of her because their family threw her away for being magic and now, it was me. Them being Filipino, it was inevitable for them to act this way because older people in our country don't like to accept things they are not used to. My parents never liked the idea of me attending Hogwarts and being a witch. They thought it was some kind of nonsense and ridiculous but I was persistent. It was a great opportunity for me to leave my parents behind especially that we did not have a good relationship with each other and it explained a lot. I did not care at all if they think that I am losing my mind.

They were against it at first because they don't want to spend money sending me to Scotland from the Philippines and Merlin's beard my letter said I don't have to worry about anything because I got a full scholarship. I might be Muggle-born but I think I am better off here and I have no plans on going back, at least, not yet. I know that I can do this on my own.  

I am doing very well here in Hogwarts with Ravenclaw as my house. It always got me confused though, because I thought I was going to be sorted in Slytherin but I am glad and I feel welcomed here in Ravenclaw especially that Luna Lovegood is from this house!
