As the youngest Lauren had a lot of pressure to be better then his brother who followed in voldimorts footprints 

He felt different to all the other witches and wizards in many ways as the  pressure on living this "perfect" life in hogwarts  was  too much for Lauren and he started feeling weak and vunrable   untill he met someone who made there life more livable  he started seeing figures and strange creatures watch him...
