LUNA LOVEGOOD
Birth/early life
Pure-blood Luna Elizabeth Lovegood was born February 13, 1981 in Great Britain. She is the only daughter of Pandora and Xenophilius Lovegood. She was 9 years old when her mother died from an experiment gone terribly wrong. From then on she was raised by her father who is editor of the Quibbler magazine.
School
Luna attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from 1992-1999. She was sorted into Ravenclaw house like her parents before her.
Fourth Year (1995-1996)
Apart from Ginny Weasley, she now had four new friends; the golden trio (Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley), and Neville Longbottom. Harry Potter founded Dumbledores Army (DA) in his fifth year to prepare for battle against Lord Voldemort and teach defense against the dark arts. Along with many of her friends Luna joined. She became an important member because she was one of the six who participated in the battle of the department of mysteries (1996).

Fifth Year (1996-1997)
Fifth Year is O.W.L (ordinary wizarding level) year so Luna must have been studying hard. Although there was no need for the D.A. anymore Luna still remained friends with Ginny, Neville, and the trio. Harry asked her to professor slughorns christmas party. Later she temporarily was quiddich commentator and forgot players names. luna participated in the battle of the astronomy tower (1997) and stood guard with Hermione by snapes office.
