Backstory

I couldn’t wait for my eleventh birthday! Ever since I was a little one at the age of five my parents helped me learn and prepare as much knowledge as possible about the use of magic. My mother Adline Leveret met my father Cyrus Nightingale their first year at Hogwarts in Charms class. My mother through school became head girl of Ravenclaw, something I had high hopes to follow behind her. My father was a Hufflepuff who was skilled in wizards chess. Charms became the class they both fancied the most. I had learned simple spells, folklore, and so much more about the hidden wizarding world that I one day would become part of.

When I got my first letter a few months before my eleventh birthday it was a grand celebration. I was so excited to learn more and to make new friends. I was hopeful to get into Ravenclaw but would be happy being sorted into my father’s house as well. Just like my parents' charms seemed to be the class I couldn't wait to settle into. I was also excited to learn about Herbology and the History of magic. I wasn’t too excited to learn about Defense Against the Dark Arts but having learned about Harry Potter and “He who must not be named” I think it is a skill any wizard in training would need.

My parents always told me that quick learning was my biggest strength. I have learned so much growing up and the hunger for knowledge had never seemed to fill and I always wanted more. My greatest weakness i have yet to find but I am sure starting school will surely show me this within time. I couldn’t wait to go shopping for my school supplies and really start my own journey. This will be the start of a year I know I will never forget. My first year at Hogwarts.
