Backstory
I was sorted into Hufflepuff, this was because I tend to have a much more laid-back, calm, and fair approach to situations and also because I just love animals so much! Whether they're cute, fluffy, and cuddly, or big, scary, and mean. The decision took a little bit of time due to the Sorting Hat not knowing whether to put me in Hufflepuff (as far as I'm aware for the reasons listed above) or Slytherin due to my slight anger issues, although I'd argue that you'd have to annoy me to Godrick knows what to get me mad. I'm mainly excited to learn about caring for magical creatures, although herbology, transfiguration, and charms are pretty interesting sometimes. Defense Against the Dark Arts is the lesson I'm most excited for, as I can imagine everyone else is too. If I'm being really honest Potions is the one I'm least looking forward to, not due to the reasons most people think though. I simply just don't have the knack for it; loads of people think it's because of the teacher but they really aren't that bad in my opinion (a bit of tough love never hurt anybody). So far I seem to be quite good at Divination which is rarely interesting and incredibly boring but thats to be expected, though it's definitely not a lesson I expected to be good at. I am a muggleborn, which makes things super interesting learning about the world and plays into why I didn't particulary want to be in Slytherin, some of them can be quite mean about bloodlines. I'm hoping that being muggleborn isn't too much of a problem for me although I really can't see why it would be. Due to being muggleborn I had no idea about You-Know-Who but it's interesting to hear about and I love reading in person accounts about the War. I would say that my greatest strength lies in one of the core characteristics of the Hufflepuff house, loyalty. I stand by my friends no matter what and equally, I stand by my own morals. My greatest weakness is probably either my stubbornness in certain situations or sometimes an inability to see outside of the box. I have no idea what my future plans are, I really just want to finish school and see what I enjoy the most. My dream job currently would be to work with animals, almost in a similar fashion to Newt Scamander. The most fascinating thing about magic is the fact that almost nothing is impossible and seeing what people use their magic for, whether it's to help others or hinder them. I'd like to think I'd use my magic to help other people in any way I can but myself comes first, if I'm not in a good place then I will work to help myself so I can't better help other people. I really just want to live a full and happy life with as little regrets as possible, it also wouldn't hurt to be remembered for something significant but that's wishful thinking. I have loads of pets, only ones that live in the muggle world, no magical creatures sadly. I can't wait to work with magical creatures, but for now I'm happy with my two dogs, budgie, and fish. I have two beagles called Yoda and Leia, named after one the most iconic film series in the muggle world, I also have a budgie called Penelope, she's very loud and talks a lot but she is so pretty to look at and is so sweet, my last pet is a goldfish called Captain Jack Sparrow, once again named after an iconic muggle film series, and he's pretty chill just doing what fish do really. My family is a pretty ordinary muggle family, I'm the only one with any magical ability though.
