Backstory

My father is a nature and landscape photographer and head wizard of stage production. My mother is a mediwitch at St. Mungo's. They met when an actor went up in flames during a play and needed emergency medical attention. After the actor was dropped off and under the care of my mother, my father came back with flowers, but they weren't for the injured actor.

With my parents both having attended Hogwarts and my elder brother currently enrolled, it was no surprise as to which school I would receive an admission letter to. What was a surprise was which house I was sorted to. I was sure that I would be sorted into Ravenclaw, but after the sorting hat pondered for what seemed an eternity, it eventually shouted out HUFFLEPUFF. At first I was baffled (as was my brother, sitting at his place at the Slytherin table), but as time goes on, it makes more sense. I am very studious and enjoy the pursuit of knowledge, but I am extremely loyal and I value true friendship above all. You can obtain any knowledge that you seek, but finding a friend that will be your support through any hardships and happiness is not so easily obtainable and should be treasured.

I came to Hogwarts with my cat, Gemma; my wand, apple wood with a dragon heartstring core, 9.5 inches; my camera; and a small library of books (we'll have shelves, right?). I am hoping that I don't stand out too much with my green and purple hair, but that it will give an impression of creativity. Perhaps it will help me make friends? Hopefully not too many, as I am an introvert. I am really looking forward to studying potions, charms, divination, and care of magical creatures. I am worried about herbology, as I seem to murder whatever green thing happens to be under my watchful eye. Maybe I shouldn't look at it. Perhaps it will grow then. I have several career goals, as I have many areas of interest. I would like to be a photographer, utilize my divination skills that I had prior to school and will continue to cultivate, and create a sanctuary for magical creatures (and cats because I love cats and would be very happy to be surrounded by them).
