Backstory

(Younger Student) On the day I received my letter I had expected to be celebrated as my sister had been. She received the family wand and was thrown a party to celebrate. I was ignored and forgotten. No one was called to wish me luck, no one came over to hug me and say congratulations, there was no cake, no party, nothing. I was just the other kid. To make things worse when I went to Ollivander's shop to get a wand I was given one with a Unicorn hair core. This may not sound terrible but in a family of pureblood witches and wizards who have all received a wand with a Pheonix feather core, this was the moment my mother realized I would not be able to hold up the family name like my sister. Then things went horribly wrong. I was sorted into Ravenclaw. I am the first recorded Ravenclaw in hundreds and hundreds of years. Every other member of both sides of my family has been sorted into Slytherin. My sister has received numerous letters from my mother saying how proud she is and how much she loves her. I however have not received a single thing. My mother hasn't even mentioned me in my sister's letters. I fear if I do not do well in my studies I will be exiled from my family.
