Backstory

(Younger Student) How should I start this? I'm a 1st year and in Slytherin. My life before Hogwarts was rough. I didn't have as many friends, Only one was my true friend. My muggle father went to jail twice since I was born and not on the right side of the bars. He was a drinker and did drugs, but he's gotten better, I hope. I use to visit him almost every other weekend, but I try to stay away from him as much as possible. So I've been living with my muggle-born mom and my half-blood sister. My sister hasn't gotten her letter yet because she is a year younger than me, but I'm sure she'll be a Gryffindor, and my mom she's a Ravenclaw. She's super smart, she works as a nurse and has 2 muggle degrees, Associate's and Bachelor's, She wants to get her master's as well if she has the time. She was so excited when I got my letter to Hogwarts, but I could tell my sister was a little jealous but still happy. I am so thankful that I got my letter because I don't know what ill do if I didn't. I like to think of Hogwarts as my escape place. Where I'm free to do the things I love and enjoy.
