Backstory

I grew up in a pureblood Wizarding household. I lived in London with my mother Serenity, my father Oliver, and my older brother Noah. My family was highly respected within the community, because although we were pureblooded, we were accepting of everyone, regardless of their blood status. Most witches and wizards felt comfortable coming to my family if they needed anything, knowing that they wouldn't be turned away in their time of need.

Upon my arrival at Hogwarts for my first year, I found myself feeling very nervous for the sorting ceremony. My mother had been Hufflepuff and my father had been Ravenclaw during their school years, and I was nervous about getting sorted into any house that wasn't Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw. During my sorting, the decision was immediate, and I was officially declared a member of Hufflepuff house, opposite of my brother, who was a third year Ravenclaw at the time. My first few years at Hogwarts were a bit chaotic, considering that during the time I was attending, there was the rising threat of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named returning. I recall attending school at the same time as Harry Potter, who was a year above me in Gryffindor. Despite the unusual circumstances of something major happening at the end of every year, I had enjoyed my time at Hogwarts. It wasn't until my sixth year that things took a turn for the worst. What was supposed to be my sixth year was instead used preparing for the infamous Battle of Hogwarts. Most other houses chose to hide it out during the war, but I was among others who decided to stay and fight, not because we had to, but because it was the right thing to do. I was not out on the battlefield during the war, however. I had opted to remain inside the castle and tend to those who were injured in the crossfire. I wasn't at all prepared when, towards the end of the battle, more injured students and faculty were brought in and among them was a student who looked too familiar. I had rushed over to find my older brother, bleeding and gasping for breath. In a moment of panic, I pulled out my wand and began performing every healing spell I could think of, knowing that time was depleting and I had to act fast. When I couldn't save him, I was devastated. That's when I realized what I wanted to do as a career. I may not have been able to save my brother, but that didn't mean I couldn't make up for it by saving others. That was the moment that I decided that I wanted to pursue a career as a healer.
