Backstory

I was always a bit of an outcast in elementary school, but not in the cool way you expect wizards to be. I was never quite smart enough be considered a gifted kid, nor athletic enough to be popular. I loved imagining and creating stories, and always wished I could live in another reality like the ones I read about. My older brother is a 6th year at Hogwarts, and he always said I had the natural aptitude for a witch, but I never quite believed him-after all, I was never special at anything! The day I got my letter, I was baking cupcakes and an owl flew into the batter! It splattered all over my face, and I had to take care of that before I could even read it. I was in complete disbelief, and my family says I walked on clouds for the next week. I finally feel like I've found my place at Hogwarts, although I tend to worry a lot, and so I stay out of the wizarding battles, and Defense Against the Dark Arts class still makes me nervous. I love to read in the huge Hogwarts library, and I enjoy nearly all of my classes (although I'm not the best at Potions or Transfiguration). I love History of Magic, learning about why our world is the way it is, Charms, and Astrology. My parents are Muggle-Born, which bothers a group of "superior" Slytherins, but most of them don't mind it anymore. I was skeptical of my placement in Slytherin at first, but we aren't evil; we just like to speak our minds, and we notice things that others don't. We'll do anything to reach our goals-which aren't always evil!
