Lizzie Scamander

Backstory

Going to Hogwarts their first time is always scary, but for me it was exhilarating and terrifying. Coming from a pureblood family, I have extra pressure to he the best of my class. I love the hands on classes like Care of Magical Creatures and Defense Against the Dark Arts. I also love getting to use my wand in charms and transfigurations. I have also come to really enjoy potions. My name probably arises questions to my parents, and yes my dad is Lysander Scamander who is son of Rolf Scamander who is grandson of Newt Scamander. My grandmother, Luna Lovegood is some one I aspire to be like and love to be around. She gave me my love of magical creatures and showed me the beauty in all things. When I found out I was in Ravenclaw I was overjoyed to be in the same house my hero was in.

I grew up on a small hill in Yorkshire, England with my parents, siblings, and of course, my grandparents. I was very excited when I received my invitation to Hogwarts and my parents rewarded me with my very own British Barn Owl. He is very majestic and soft to the touch. I found that Prince was the perfect name for his flawless frame and graceful flight. He has been very loyal like my wand. I have a vine wood wand with a unicorn hair and it is 13 and 1/2 inches. It is quite flexible and extremely loyal to me. It has never had a malfunction or resisted my requests. I think that building loyalty is like building loyalty with my owl. It is all based on trust. I must gain trust with both before I gain respect and loyalty. I write letters to my family every week. It would be every day, but Prince can only fly so much (even if he likes it). Moreover, I am excited to start my Hogwarts adventure and make amazing friends!
