Marek Rose: My Backstory! On the day I received my letter to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry I was sitting at my desk sleeping. I was dreaming of death, green light, and my sister screaming. I woke up and remembered. My parents were dead, my sister was hospitalized, and my legs were broken. I was numb. I couldn't feel any pain at all. However, whenever the snowy owl flew into my room and slammed into me it hurt. It hurt BAD! I opened the letter. It was Professor Mcgonagall inviting me to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The next day I was on the Hogwarts Express on my way to school! I was in an empty compartment sleeping whenever another first year came in and sat across from me. I could feel someone's eyes on me so I opened my eyes and sat up. I saw a first year girl sitting across from me. As soon as she saw that I was up she introduced herself as Kaitlyn Lovegood. I introduced myself as Marek or Scarlett Rose and told her to call me Scatty. She asked me which house I hoped to be in. I said Ravenclaw and she looked at me curiously as she said Slytherin. She asked me why I wanted to be in Ravenclaw and I said that I was extremely smart and Ravenclaw could use a student like me I thought as my sister came into my mind. My sister is a Ravenclaw. She is a year older than me and she is being taken to Hogwarts by apparition. Professor Mcgonagall is coming to pick her up and then she is going right to the hospital wing I thought as someone came in and sat next to Kaitlyn. I could hear the two people talking to each other and this is what I heard: I'm .... Black. I am so ..... to be ..... Hogwarts. That was all I heard before I lay back and blacked out. I woke up five seconds later. Kaitlyn was looking at me with concern written all over her face. The other person who I had just realized was another first year girl was looking as though something was really scaring her. Kaitlyn told me there was something above my head so I looked up and saw an OWL behind me. The OWL dropped a scroll and Ms. Black snatched it out of the air. Ms. Black looked at the scroll and read the words allowed. Kaitlyn and I were looking expectantly at Ms. Black and she opened the scroll and read the message. The message read: Marek, Kaitlyn, Aquarius/Bella, Claws, Phoenix, and Jane, You have been enrolled in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry since before you were born. We are extremely happy to welcome you to this magical school in which you will learn the arts of Transfiguration, Potions, and Defense Against the Dark Arts among some many other things. You will learn how to protect yourself against the dark arts and how to duel against your peers. In the enclosed you will all find separate lists for each and everyone of you. I look forward to seeing you all in class! Deputy Headmistress, Professor Mcgonagall We all stared at each other as the door opened and three other first year girls walked in. One of them walked in, sat down, and quickly said that her name was Ara Claws Potter and that she wanted to be in Ravenclaw. The second girl walked in quickly and sat next to Ms. Black. She introduced herself as Phoenix who also wished to be a part of Ravenclaw. The third first year girl sat next to me and introduced herself as Jane Black who wanted to be in Slytherin. We all talked amongst ourselves until we got to Hogwarts and left the train to the boats. We got to the boats and Kaitlyn, Bella, and I got in a boat while Phoenix, Jane, and Ara got into the boat next to ours. The boats left the shore and headed towards the castle.
