Backstory

I grew up in a rich pure-blood family of Slytherin wizards. My father likes to say he is distantly related to Salazar Slytherin. Having done the family research myself, I know this isn't true. I would never have the heart or courage to tell him as I am afraid to upset him. Everyone in my family have been Slytherins. I am currently starting my first year at Hogwarts. I did not attend Hogwarts when I was first sent the letter. My father held off sending me as he was worried that I would be a different house then Slytherin. I had a different mother then my siblings and he was afraid I would be tainted by her Ravenclaw family. Wasn't he surprised when I was placed into Slytherin. He was actually proud of me. I hope to prove to my family that I can succeed at Hogwarts.
