Backstory

Being a muggle-born, I was extremely interested in everything magic, it was all so new and exciting. I spent hours upon hours curled up with books in the Ravenclaw common room, trying to absorb as much knowledge as possible. I snuck out one night, wanting to explore. When I was wandering through the forest, I happened across Hagrid, with a herd of thestrals. One had just given birth, the baby thestral and I understood each other on a level I can't explain. I started to help Hagrid take care of the creatures more regularly, I fell in love with protecting, and researching these lovely creatures.
