Backstory

(Younger Student) At first I didn’t know what to think as I stared at the strange letter in my hand. My mother saw me confused and at one look at the letter gasped before rushing to call my aunt and uncle. It was strange, she moved with urgency but had a big grin plastered on her face. That calmed me down, she looked happy so this had to be a good thing. In a strangely short amount of time my uncle and aunt came in looking positively thrilled.
“Has she opened it” my uncle asked.
“No we wanted to wait for you two” my mother replied, excitement evident in her voice.
“Go on lass, this is your big day” my aunt chimed in.
Little did I know that the quiet life I’d grown accustomed to for the last 11 years had just been shattered by this world changing event. What do I have to say looking back?
