Kinsey Mirfield

Backstory

Kinsey was born in Bristol, England as a half-blood. Her father is a muggle who is utterly confused about the wizarding world; however, he understands the basics. Her mother is a muggle-born witch who chose not to go to wizarding school, but used books to master her powers enough that they would not be harmful to her. As for her brother, he is a squib, but he is satisfied with his role.
Kinsey first saw signs of her abilities when she turned 7. She was a rather rambunctious child, and let's just say she released some animals on her family's weekly trip to the zoo. Her mother was able to explain the basics and teach Kinsey a few things, but Kinsey was eager to learn more. Unlike other witches her age, she was not commonly bullied. Kinsey never gave people reasons to dislike her, therefore, giving her a kind-hearted reputation.
However, on her first day at Hogwarts, she felt incredibly unprepared. She at least knew a little more than the muggle-born students in her year, but it was then she realized her mother had taught her little about the wizarding world. Kinsey began the year slow, but with the support of her professors, she soon excelled in all her classes. In her future, she strives to study Herbology and Care for Magical Creatures in hope that someday she could care for plants and creatures outside of her wizarding school.
As of right now, she is taking her classes at her own pace, while still carrying her childhood enthusiasm and optimism with her.
