Backstory
When I first arrived at Hogwarts and sat on the stool underneath the sorting hat, things didn’t go quite as I expected. It took the hat a total of 4 minutes just to get the right house. Even I was uncertain about where I should be, my mother went to illvermorny but my father went to hogwarts and was a slytherin and had strong aspirations of me being one too. Much to my fathers dismay however, the hat placed me into Gryffindor. I never really wanted to follow my father in much he did so it was kind of like sticking it to him. Plus my best friend Eliza was already sorted into Gryffindor so, you know, bonus. My favourite classes currently are Potions, DADA and Charms. My parents wanted to hide the fact that I’m a legilamens for as long as I can remember, I guess they thought I'd be safer that way but I don't see the point in it. My family always thought me a bit of a freak for it. I suppose i’m lucky though, growing up in a pureblood family has it’s benefits, with my father's side of the family being mostly Slytherins, we've never had much trouble with providing as a family and taking care of one another. Though that comes second after securing our pure blood status. No surprise our blood always mattered more to my father then his own daughter. My greatest strengths have always been Hexes, Jinx’s and Potions and my greatest weakness is that sometimes I tend to act before i think, causing major catastrophes on my part. I’ve always thought when I graduated i’d become an Auror, and when the war blows over, move to Ireland, start fresh, away from my pureblood family. However, I guess i’ve considered from time to time joining up with my family, but I try to remind myself that people do not deserve to suffer and if I can help, I want to however possible, especially if it means I get to take down some witches. I've always been a really talented duellist, my mother used to teach me spells in our backyard and battle me for fun and, usually, I'd come out on top. I got an Owl for my 9th birthday a couple years ago, she’s a barn owl named Rena and I love her so much! My family, like many other pureblood families, thought themselves above muggles, I always disagreed, honestly I'm kind of fascinated by them and I'm really looking forward to learning more about them. I've always tried to accept people for what makes them special, not what they were born into. Growing up there were always a lot of family heirlooms around the house but the one I always had by my heart was a necklace given to me by my grandmother, it’s said to have healing properties to those of our family and it glows in blinding white light when it senses love or when someone I care about is in danger. I don’t talk to my Slytherin family anymore since I ran away with my mother, but still I wear my sliver boned dragon necklace close to my heart so that if they ever need me, I can be there for those I love.
