Backstory

I am a muggle-born Gryffindor. It was quite surprising to receive my letter from Hogwarts, but my parents were supportive even though they were quite anxious about sending me off to Hogwarts because it was not common for them at all. None of my family has a history of wizardry or witchcraft behind it. My father was working for a company and my mother was a housewife. I was, to tell the truth, quite excited but at the same time there was a feeling of fear within me because this was a completely new thing. I've always shown interest for topics like potions and charms but never thought that I would be, in fact, a part of it. No one, except close family and friends of course, were told about my letter. It was quite difficult to leave everything behind, but my excitement was more than anything. Everything felt much happier, for some reason, that I wondered throughout, "Was I ready for this from the beginning?"! But of course, everything turned out well: Being sorted into Gryffindor, made quite a lot of amazing friends, scored much better in my lessons than back at 'muggle-school', became much happier than I expected. What more could I want?!
