Backstory

Being a muggle born is not easy. Imagine being the freak all your life not only in school but also in your own house. All kinds of catastrophes and strange things were happening around me and everyone simply thought I was a trouble maker trying to get some attention. So when I got the Hogwarts letter, part of me thought it was a joke, but I also felt relieved, it would definitely explain my entire life and it would also send me to a place where I wouldn't be a freak anymore.
When my parents took me to Diagon Alley -half believing it was a joke too- we were all very awestruck. All the strage and new things to see, even the currency there was weird! First we went to the wizarding bank, Gringotts. It was intimidating, we changed some pounds for wizarding currency and my parents opened an account so I could have some money during the school year -I didn't like goblins, they looked scary, we were very hesitant to aproach the counters with all the pointy teeth and long fingernails-, after that we had the time of our lives shopping for weird text books, and other school materials, but the strangest of all was, perhaps, the wand. I still find hard to believe that a simple wooden stick with an animal part can help you control all of your magic, I mean, aren't wizards supposed to be powerfull? How can a stick a few inches long be able to control all of that? Anyways, when we finished with that we got a tawny owl, it was so beautiful, I named him Robert, and a broomstick, it was supposed to be the newest one in the market, I can't wait to learn how to fly. Finally we spent some time exploring the Alley and went back home. It was one of the best days of my life...until my parents took me to the Hogwarts express, the platform was full of other kids like me and I just couln't wait to be on board and make it to the best school I had seen.
