Backstory

Hello! I am Ema! I am currently a Hogwarts student. I am in Griffindor because I am kind and thoughtful and I will do what I think is best for myself and others. It took longer than usual to be sorted and I would like to think it's because I have many different sides to discuss. I enjoy Care of Magical Creatures and potions (although I think prof. Snape has a hard time having me in class). Defense Against the Dark Arts is my least favorite subject, I never had a good teacher besides prof. Lupin. Transfiguration is fun. Or I guess easy, but I can never see myself pursuing a subject like that. I am a half-blood. My mother is the brightest witch I know. My father is the nose on he-who-must-not-be-named's face. Luckily, my mother took a keen interest in a kind wizard who showed her sides of herself she hasn't seen in a while. Not everyone knows about my biological father, so my status hasn't changed. Or at least no one cares enough about me to care whether or not I am a half-blood or muggle-born. I am in the same classes, house, and friend group as Harry Potter, but I am not involved as the others because I have my own path to go down. I am generally very positive, I try to live very optimistically, but I am also very sensitive. Sometimes I wonder if it takes a lot or a little to break me down. I love to study herbology with Prof. Sprout. Hagrid and Prof. Sprout agreed to guide me with some research on what is going on inside the lake. Dumbledore gives me permission to go to the dungeons for my studies. I don't find it odd that when I do, I am given independent work. I think magic is a gift and I believe everyone, including muggles, has a little good magic in them. But magic is also a privilege, not a right in that case. I intend to use my magic to uncover the secrets of the world, for my own curiosity and with good intentions. Whether or not that helps someone else's curiosity, I would be ecstatic to know. I guess I really just want to be known as a cheerful, responsible, and kindhearted person. I have a beautiful sphinx cat named wrinkles and despite her name, she is quite young and very energetic. My family has always had a history of caring for others, no matter what they are. So it's not a surprise I chose the same path. I just hope I will be able to use my knowledge for a greater good this time...
