Backstory

Reuben Crowell was born in a small home in North Dublin to a pure-blood father and muggle mother. His parents were unsure if Reuben would be accepted into Hogwarts, but when he was they were ecstatic. Most of his school years ended up to be pretty uneventful. His favorite classes were Care of Magical Creatures and DADA, and his dream was to follow in the great Newt Scamander footsteps as a Magizoologist. Unfortunately all of those dreams were dashed in his seventh year, when he went into the Forbidden Forest on a dare and was bitten by a werewolf. Reuben was allowed to continue his lessons at Hogwarts until he graduated, much to the dismay of his classmates. After graduation he attempted to get a job in the ministry but they would not allow it, so he was forced to search for a job elsewhere. Eventually, after a few years of travel, Reuben ended up working in the Magical Menagerie in Diagon Alley. Once he saved up enough money, Reuben opened his own shop called "Crowell's Athenaeum" on the edge of Knocktern Alley. He is dedicated to raising awareness about werewolves and the history of magical creatures, so his shop is mostly filled with strange books and other oddities. In the back he has a private section where he rehabilitates creatures that he finds.
