Backstory

Born from two Pureblooded Slytherins, with a Slytherin brother— Hi! I’m Mae, sorted into Hufflepuff, you can imagine my strictly Slytherin family wasn’t too happy about it. My great grandmother Mave would’ve been overjoyed if she was still with us, she was a Hufflepuff back in her day, the only other Hufflepuff in my family that I know of. She married my Great Grandfather, who she’d met here in Hogwarts, he was a Slytherin. Much to my mother’s dismay, I’d grown close to my great grandmother growing up, leaving me with Hufflepuff traits that intertwined with Slytherin.. The sorting hat took 3 whole minutes trying to sort me into either Hufflepuff or Slytherin! I felt overwhelmed with confusion when it had yelled out Hufflepuff— happy I was sorted into the same house as my grandmother Mave once was, yet sad and worried from the look on my older brothers face that sat at the Slytherin table...he looked upset and embarrassed. My father said he had suspicions that had grown into fears since I was younger that I’d become something other then a Slytherin, He now refuses to speak to me. Still seeing the light at the end of the dark dark dismal tunnel, I fill my time with creative things to do, such as drawing and writing. Although I find myself being awkwardly anxious and I don’t speak unless spoken to, I like being social, it takes me awhile to warm up but if you can survive my awkwardness, I make a great friend! At least that’s what I like to think!
