Rain Bowley

Backstory

Hi, I'm Rain Bowley. Yes I know that sounds like Rainbow; I'm led to believe that that's what my parents intended. I'm so nervous to be here at Hogwarts! My mam's a muggle-born wizard who was in Ravenclaw in her Hogwarts days and my dad was in Slytherin (don't worry he's plenty friendly and has no hatred for Gryffindors!) My dad was Head of Slytherin quidditch team and apparently he was a top tier Chaser! However, I don't think my mam has gone near a broomstick since her first lesson with Madam Hooch when she "couldn't get the damn thing to even fly up". My mam's funny like that she was a very dedicated students, top of all her classes but somehow she can't even manage to make a broomstick go up! Being in Gryffindor is a bit daunting for me because since birth I've been told I'd likely be a Ravenclaw due to my mam's hard work ethic or Slytherin due to my dad's ambition and achievements. Never was I told that I'd be a good match for Gryffindor yet here I am sat in a very comfortable leather armchair next to the fireplace in the Gryffindor common room writing this very introduction. At the moment, I am focusing on Potions and Defence Against the Dark Arts as I am very overwhelmed by the whole Hogwarts thing. I aspire to be a Defence Against the Dark Arts PA one day and after school to get a job in the Ministry of Magic!
