Backstory

She's a Half-Blood. Her father was a pure-blood slytherin wizard, and her mother was a muggle-born Gryffindor. They became attracted to each other somehow, and he married her. Alanna was born, and the two were quite happy with their little girl. Then Voldemort came to power, and he joined the Death Eaters. Alanna's mother tried to convince him not to, but he just got mad at her, and joined anyway. After Voldemort died, he was captured by Aurors and sent to Azkaban, where he lives now. Her mother remarried another wizard, a Gryffindor who'd been her best friend at school. They had another daughter named Briana. Both sets of her grandparents dislike her immensely, calling her a "demon child" because of what her father was. Her mom and step-father try their best, but it's evident that Briana's their favourite. When she finally got to Hogwarts, the Sorting Hat desperately wanted to put her in Slytherin, but she adamantly refused. She was not her dad. So she was reluctantly put in Gryffindor.
