Backstory

I have just started at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and got sorted into Ravenclaw. I am the youngest sibling and have 2 sisters and 3 brothers. They all got sorted into Slytherin like my father. But my mom was in Hufflepuff. and she is the only one that supports me. I bought a white cat at Hogsmeade four weeks ago with my own currency. I have already made a few friends that are also in Ravenclaw. My mother gave me a special necklace for my 11th birthday. She says it is really powerful and that I should never tell anyone about it. She said it would protect me at Hogwarts but from what?
