Casey Rose

Backstory

My name is Casey Rose and I come from a pure blooded family, I grew up with my parents and two older siblings, Charlie Rose who is currently in fourth year along with Leah Rose who is in fifth year.I started magic from a young age since I knew I was a witch, at about 8 I was told about Hogwarts and I would beg my family to go there even though I had already been told I was too young, anyways I practised magic as much as I could so I would have a head start when I was old enough to go. Finally the time came, I turned 11 on the 18th of June and couldn't be more excited to attend Hogwarts in a couple of weeks. I got the letter the day of my birthday and I persuaded my parents to go with me to Diagon Alley as soon as possible, I bought all my required things as a first year such as a uniform, a wand, books, cauldron, telescope, etc and I even got an adorable barn owl named Hoot! As soon as I got back from Diagon Alley I began to read and memorise all the books hoping to do well in class. The 1st of September came quicker than I expected, I woke up super early and excitedly packed my bags for the train, we left for platform 9 3/4 s late morning and arrived bubbling with excitement, my older siblings showed me how to run through the platform and without hesitation I did it first try. I sat with my siblings Charlie and Leah on the train, we discussed what house i'd be in. To be honest I didn't mind what house I got sorted into since they all sounded pretty good from what i'd heard although I did hope I would be in the same house as one of my siblings just for a bit of guidance. Charlie was in Gryffindor and Leah was in Slytherin. A couple of hours passed and we were there! Finally, after 3 years of dying to be here, I was finally here! For a few seconds I zoned out and admired the sight before me, but soon enough I was rushed along by the headmistress who was determined to get everyone inside as efficiently as possible. Soon after, the sorting ceromony began, even though I didn't mind where I was sorted I was still rather nervous, being infront of the whole school was rather nerve racking, I was basically zoned out until my name was called "Rose, Casey" I held my breath as I walked up onto the stage and sat down, seconds later the Sorting Hat was placed on my head, it covered my eyes so I was unable to see. "Hmmm, an interesting one we've got here" I breathed heavily. " Another Rose I see, seems like a equal mix of both your sisters." The sorting hat paused for a few moments before shouting out "Better make it GRYFFINDOR!" I heard a number of loud cheers from the Gryffindor Table. As the hat was lifted up I could finally see again, I caught my sister Charlie's eye, she smiled and cheered as I took the steps down to join the Gryffindor table.
After everyone had been sorted the welcoming feast began, I filled my guts with as much food as I could before the feast was over and we headed to the dormitories to spend our first night at Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft And Wizardry. Now here I am, as a first year student, I am currently taking Astronomy, Charms, Defence Against The Dark Arts, Herbology, History Of Magic, Potions and Transfiguration, And am glad to be earning house points for Gryffindor!
