Backstory

I had been born into a wizard-born family, therefore I had always known about magic. I wasn't taught a lot, not until my parents knew I would in fact be a witch, carrying on the wizard-born legacy, as I am an only child. I first discovered that I was a witch when I was nine years old, a process in which started with anger and frustration, and ended in an accidental fire inside the house, something I had caused without intention. The accidental works of magic increased the closer I got to the age of eleven, which was when I finally received my letter to Hogwarts, and therefore was able to finally go shopping for my wand and other magical items needed for the school. I had quickly taken an interest in potion making and astronomy. Potions I found to be fun because of precision that was needed and the thrill of the risk of making a potion go wrong. Astronomy was something I had always loved. The millions of lights spotting against a blackened sky, like a painting. Well, I won't bore you with such information. Needless to say, I couldn't wait to get my hands on a potion, nor could I wait to learn more of astronomy. I don't mind learning about the other subjects, and actually can't wait to learn about the Dark Arts. All I knew though, was making it into Hogwarts was bound to be thrilling for me. I made it into the Slytherin house, making my parents quite proud of me as they were Slytherins as well. I had grown up in a family system filled with Slytherins and Ravenclaws, all wizard-born, and all having kids who turned out to be wizards and witches as well. It seems I have some kind of test within the family, and now all that's left for me to do is to make the best grades I can, always exceeding excellence and gaining any extra credit work I can to make myself a great Slytherin student.
