Backstory

I am in the house of Slytherin and I think that the Sorting Hat put me there because it saw something that I haven’t discovered yet. It did take a few moments for the hat to decide between Slytherin and Ravenclaw. I like astronomy, arithmancy, herbology and potions the best, potions being my best subject. I don’t like transfiguration, charms, flying or care of magical creatures. I am a half-blood and my blood status has not affected my life in the Wizarding World at all. If I were in the UK during the time of You-Know-Who, my stance would be passive and without taking a side. My greatest strength is my tongue (bargaining, knowing what to say), my determination and my mind. My greatest weaknesses are my dueling abilities and my memories from before Hogwarts. Coming from everything in America, to nothing in Britain, I had been miserable. After I finish school I find that brewing potions is my dream job, and I plan to intern at Saint Mungo’s to brew healing potions for the nurses and patients. During my time there I will decide what I do from that point on. I feel that the most fascination aspect of magic to me is how it can connect people. Especially with patronuses, I believe that the magic flowing between beings is amazing. I want to use my own magic to help others, brewing potions to heal them. If I were to be completely honesty with myself, I just really want to be happy in Britain. I want to be successful with a nice house, nice friends and a future family. I have one pet at Hogwarts, a cat named Lana (a girl), who has fluffy tan fur. She is quiet but loves me and my friends. She’ll come to sleep on my bed next to me and sit with me when I do homework in the Slytherin dorms and common rooms.
