Backstory

When I received my Hogwarts letter that faithful day, I didn't know what it would mean. You see, my parents are both muggles, so I had no idea there was a whole world of magic waiting for me. However, they weren't surprised that I was a witch, after all, strange things had been happening to me since I was a child. They took me shopping in Diagon Alley to make sure I was prepared for my first day. Since they were just as new to this as I was, we asked a pureblood family who were experienced to help me pick out my Herbology text books and uniform. From what I heard about the sorting ceremony, I wasn't sure what house I would be in, I just hoped that I would make friends. The Sorting Hat took an unusually long time to sort me into my house, pondering over my qualities that would fit into each one. Then, the unexpected happened. The Sorting Hat couldn't decide which house to put me into, as I had an equal amount of each within me. Everyone was looking at me. Dumbledore's eyes were wide in bewilderment. I was the divergent of Hogwarts. The Sorting Hat was at a loss, so let me choose my own path by picking which house I truly wished to be in. I chose Gryffindor: the house of the brave, and this is where my journey begins.
