Philomène Du Champ

Backstory

My name is Philomène Du Champ of Blackhorse Manor, but you can just call me Phil. I was born in America but I studied at Beauxbatons Academy of Magic where I was sorted in to the Ombrelune house from first year until third year- I transferred to Hogwarts for fourth year. I was sorted in to Gryffindor even though I have more Slytherin traits because I value bravery over cunning. I was a bit of a hatstall because of my late age and I thought I was a Slytherin but the Sorting Hat finally persuaded me to be a Gryffindor. My favorite classes are history of magic and the care of magical creatures. I also enjoy herbology and potions but I'm not very good at either one, and I really don't like transfiguration that much. I'm a half-blood, but also a quarter veela. People seem to get the wrong impression about me at first because veelas have a bit of an odd reputation, but as long as I don't tell people it doesn't affect me; what they don't know can't hurt them, y'know? My greatest strength is my loyalty and trust, but they're my weaknesses too at times; my loyalty can cloud my judgement and I can be gullible sometimes. After I graduate from Hogwarts, I want to travel the world and eventually become a history of magic professor. I think the most fascinating aspect of magic is how the Muggle world and Wizarding world intertwine, sometimes without either side realizing it. I want to use my magic to help others more than anything. If I'm being honest with myself, I just want to fulfillment by teaching others. I have a pesky tabby cat named Mister Whiskers and a gentle but antsy white horse named Amalthea (really, Amalthea is a unicorn I nursed back to health from the Forbidden Forest but Hagrid helped me disguise her so I could keep her in the Hogwarts stables.) My wand is vine wood with a phoenix feather core, 13" and pliant flexibility. My Patronus is a unicorn.
