Backstory

(Hi! This is my OC so I hope you enjoy. This is more of her in her 3rd year). Alex is a half blood. Her mother is from Salvador and is a pureblood while her dad is from Honduras and is the first wizard is his family. Alex is the first Ravenclaw from her family and isn't sure if she can live up to the title. She has some strong Slytherin characteristics and isn't sure if she was sorted right. She walks around her dorm, meeting new people, but she wasn't sure if she could call them friends. She walked into the common room holding her wand, 12 3/4 inches, Dragon heart string and alder wood, and met the Lovegoods. They were sweet and Luna's younger sister was her age. She made friends with Lily (Luna's younger sister) and she helped Alex feel like she belonged. They explore the halls together and joke around. Every time she looked at Lily, she felt butterflies in her stomach and she felt an odd feeling of joy.
"No... my family wouldn't accept me.." she thought, worried. She went to explore one day and made friends with a Hufflepuff called Jonathan Diggory (Imagine Tom Holland but make him younger). His brother had recently died and he needed some motivation. The more she started to hang out with him, the more fun she realized she would have. Alex started to feel those same butterflies and odd enjoyment.
"Who do I pick..." she thought, not sure what to do. Her feelings we mix and wasn't sure what to do. Her family would prefer her with a male, but what if she liked Lily more? Would she have to apologize to Lily and her family and go with Jonathan instead? Would they listen if she told them she loved Lily more? Or would they think she's talking nonsense? When she was younger her parents always told when she grew up she'd find a nice man and make sure she was pretty enough. That their life would be like Barbie and Ken, but what if she didn't want it to be like that?
