Backstory

My name is Aurora Rivers, and as you know, I am in the house of Ravenclaw which I take an immense amount of pride in. When I received my acceptance letter, I could not have been more overjoyed or thrilled to be coming here. However, to me it was not a surprise as I come from a family of witches and wizards who have been coming here for centuries. And yes, I do take great pride in my house, in fact, I know I belong in Ravenclaw. However, it is certainly not much fun when your whole family is Slytherin , I am now even looked down upon, seen as an outcast by them, just because I didn't get the house they wanted. I feel like a mass disappointment to them, like I should have told the sorting hat to put me into Slytherin, but at heart, I am a Ravenclaw and I stand by that. Due to this, I am one of the few students who is full-time at Hogwarts, even at Christmas my family won't accept me at home, so fear not if you know it is compulsory for you to stay too. You may be contemplating why my family are so harsh and unfeeling about this, about me not being in the house of Slytherin. It is purely based on one factor, we are descended from the one and only Salazar Slytherin himself, and it is this they take great pride in. Not only do I feel outcast by them, but I also feel a sense of not belonging, that I am truly not even part of the family at all. Anyway, at Hogwarts, of course my first priority is to excel in everything I do however, I am on a journey to find my true self, who I really am and where I really come from.
