Backstory
I grew up in Belfast, Northern Ireland with my parents and two siblings. While my mom is a Witch, my dad is a Muggle but is completely accepting and encouraging of magic and his children's upbringing as Wizards and Witches. I am the middle child in our family with an older brother (Aidan) and younger sister (Eavan).Aidan (27) currently works as a lawyer for Jensen & Knots in Dublin, which is a firm that focuses on helping all disadvantaged magical beings around Ireland and surrounding countries. He lives with his wife Amelia and are expecting their first child very soon! (Could NOT be more excited for them!!)
Eavan (17) is finishing her sixth year at Hogwarts with a special interest in Charms. After graduating, she wants to work with the Ministry, creating new spells!
As for myself, I am also a graduate of Hogwarts and am proud to belong to the Ravenclaw house. I graduated top of my class, earning me a spot in the new graduate program at Ilvermony in the States, complete with full scholarship. I do miss my family quite a bit but I make sure to apparate back home every other weekend.
I have always been interested in magical literature written throughout history by our community. There is a stunning amount of things to learn and read! I cannot get enough. One of my favourite pieces of writing comes from Frederick Landsome, a poet in the 17th century, entitled "Magics in a Distant Moon".
I have also learned so much! For example, I was absolutely blown away when I learned that Shakespeare had been close friends with many wizards and witches, a few of whom assisted in providing information about fairies and the like for "A Midsummer's Night Dream"! How amazing is that! I am actually writing my thesis about the relationship between Muggle literature and that of the wizarding community! It's a lot of hard work but I am enjoying it immensely! I hope to become a professor at some point, teaching students the joys of magical literature and opening their minds to the joyous experiences literature can bring to their lives.
Anyways enough about me!! I am so excited for the future and can't wait to see what's in store :)
