Backstory

I never realized that the cool stuff I could do was magic until I got the letter from Hogwarts. I grew up with my muggle grandparents since my parents were always abroad for work. My grandparents didn't know that my father was a wizard, because he ran away from home when he was 10, and lived with my mother's family. They were purebloods, but they were considered "blood traitors" by the other purebloods who despised muggles and muggle-borns. I actually have a older sister, but she lived with my mother's parents, so she knew all about the wizarding world. When I was 11, on February 7, I heard an owl tapping on my window. I had never seen an owl before, so I was fascinated by it just like I was with every other new creature I found. When I opened the letter attached to it's leg, I discovered it was from Gabi, my 18 year old sister, telling me everything about the wizarding world and inviting me to live with her at her new house in Hogsmeade. I went, and she showed me Gringotts, and our parents vault with a big pile of big gold coins and little bronze ones and cool looking silver ones that looked something like American nickles. In July of that year, I got another owl from Hogwarts, got my wand(Oak and unicorn tail hair) and schoolbooks, and nearly exploded with excitement! And now it's almost time to get to the Hogwarts Express!!
