The coffee stained envelope was pushed through the letter slot at exactly 6:51 pm. I remember the time because I was waiting for completely different parcel and had kept checking the clock because it was supposed to have arrived at 7 pm that night. It didn't, it actually arrived two days afterwards. My mother was so excited when the letter had arrived, she started explaining everything about magic and her experiences at Hogwarts. Father’s reaction was quite different, he wasn’t pleased and refused to let me attend. They fought that night, a lot. He's a muggle and Mother is a witch. He's had bad experiences with predjudice wizarding family and has grown a distaste for them since he married. Which is why I grew up in the muggle world without an ounce of knowledge about anything to do with witches or wizards or the affairs of their world. Since I have recieved my letter, I have studied and tried to inform myself as much as possible. I am overwhelmingly excited.
